Be Sure The Toy Cars Safety !

Toy cars are miniaturised version of the real thing. Today toy cars are available in a variety of colours, including realistic graphics and design. For safety reason toy cars must be finished with non-toxic paint, as younger children may have a tendency to the put the toy cars in or near their mouth. Toy cars are children’s favorite playthings but in one year, according to U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission estimates, there were 150,000 toy-related serious injuries. Falls are the most frequent kind of accident, but many serious injuries result from children swallowing small parts or placing tiny toys in noses or ears, exploding gas-powered toy cars and sharp edges of toy cars. Even toy cars are a great way for you to have fun with your kids but you have to check every new toy they buy and every old toy around the house for possible hazards. Try to make sure the toy cars safety by following suggestions :

  1. Let choose toy cars carefully about their good design and quality construction.
  2. avoid toy cars that have sharp edges, small parts or sharp points.
  3. Don’t buy toy cars that produce extremely loud noises that can damage hearing and propelled objects that can injure eyes.
  4. Let buy toy cars that suit the child’s age, interest and abilities. Young children are not suitable with toy cars that are too complex. Many toy cars have a suggested age range to help you choose toy cars that are appealing as well as safe.
  5. Read label of toy cars about safety information such as not recommended for children under 3 years old.
  6. Check with parents before you buy toy cars that requires close supervision - electrically operated toy cars. Very often younger children may have access to toy cars intended for older children once the toy cars has been brought into the home.
  7. Look for the UL (Underwriters Laboratories) seal on electrical toy cars. It indicates the electrical parts have been tested for safety.
  8. Make sure  to supervise children while they play toy cars.
  9. Check toy cars periodically for broken parts and potential hazards. A dangerous toy car should be repaired immediately or thrown away. Sharp or splintered edges on wooden toy cars should be sanded smooth. Use only non-toxic paint on toy cars or toy cars boxes.
  10. Teach children to put their toy cars away so the toy cars do not get broken and so that no one trips and falls on them.
  11. Open shelves of toy cars allow the child to see favorite toy cars and return them to the shelf after play. Be sure the shelf is sturdy and won’t tip over if the child climbs on it.
